A few months ago, I uploaded a video tutorial to my youtube channel; Explaining in detail how I create my DIY thigh highs. I also included a mini lookbook of ideas. 

I use a sewing machine for almost every fashion DIY task that I tackle.  However, there are other alternative methods... you just need to find which best suit you. 
Whatever your preference, I hope this helps spark some ideas for own creative DIY endevours!
